Artists for Haiti

Category : Artist Fundraising & Charities

It’s heartbreaking to see news about how Haiti is faring right now, despite the overflowing help the country has been receiving since the magnitude 7 earthquake. Just last week, a miracle happened when rescuers were able to save a still alive man stuck beneath mammoth debris that was once a popular supermarket. He was able to survive weeks underneath—and thankfully, he’s well.

These days, the world has its eyes on Haiti’s restoration. Aggressive efforts from various global organizations are working aggressively to help Haiti stand on its feet again and if possible, be able to improve the lives of its residents. This is done to extend the feeling of hope and hopefully cast a brighter light to its people. Included in these efforts are millions of artists worldwide trying to help in their own personal ways.

The music world, for one, has launched several benefit concerts in which popular artists and musicians have participated. Those artists with lesser means thought of ways to direct whatever followings they have to bigger organizations highly involved in Haiti operations. These can be seen in their personal blogs and even in their own shops and stores. Photographers have been giving out photography lessons for a fee which will go straight to Haiti relief efforts. Art studios are putting their finest arts to sale and giving 50% of it to Haiti. Indeed, there are many ways to share what you have right now, here are some sites which will take donations online:
